Develop your research skills anytime, anywhere
The doctoral schools have established a unique partnership with Nature Masterclasses, giving all UHasselt PhD researchers, postdoctoral researchers and staff members free access to the full Nature Masterclasses on-demand platform throughout this academic year.
This is a unique opportunity to benefit from a premium professional development platform that would normally require an individual subscription. Thanks to the UHasselt institutional licence, you can access a comprehensive catalogue of 24 high-quality courses and 10 webinars at no personal cost, developed and delivered by leading research experts, experienced trainers and Nature Portfolio editors.
Whether you want to strengthen your research skills, become a more effective communicator, develop your leadership potential or prepare for the next step in your career, Nature Masterclasses offers flexible online learning that fits around your schedule. Courses are delivered through short, engaging modules that can be followed anytime and anywhere, allowing you to learn at your own pace. From designing experiments and publishing papers to science communication, collaboration, leadership and career development, the platform supports researchers across the entire research lifecycle. It also covers a broad range of transferable skills that are increasingly important for success both within and beyond academia.
Take advantage of this exclusive opportunity and make the most of a world-class learning resource that is available to you free of charge through the doctoral schools!

Questions or having trouble accessing the courses?
We are currently in a testing phase, during which the Hasselt University and the Nature Masterclasses platform systems are being fine-tuned to work together. As a result, you may occasionally experience some difficulties when logging in or accessing the courses.
If you do not immediately see the 24 online courses and 10 webinars available to Hasselt University users, click on the three horizontal lines in the top-left corner of the page and select the full course catalogue. You should then be able to see all courses included in our institutional access. If this does not work, it may help to log out and log in again. When logging in, make sure to select Hasselt University as your institution and always use your UHasselt staff email address. This is important to ensure that the system recognises you as a Hasselt University user and gives you access to the full catalogue.
If you still only see the free courses, or experience any other problems when logging in or accessing the catalogue, please contact us (doctoralschools@uhasselt.be). We would appreciate hearing from you so that we can follow up on any access issues during this testing phase.
